Mark Peterson leads the Aon Professional Liability team in the Construction space. Mark and his team provide Risk Management consulting services for Constructors, Architects, Engineers and Owners. He is available to field questions from our clients related to complex project and professional liability issues faced by parties in the construction field and to provide feedback on their possible legal consequences. He is particularly adept at guiding firms through the pitfalls of structuring projects or agreements between owners, contractors, sub-contractors and other project participants. Mark joined Aon in 2014 as a claims advocate and consultant.
Before joining Aon, Mark was a partner with Stinson Leonard Street LLP in the firm’s Omaha, Nebraska office. He previously was a shareholder with Koley Jessen P.C. in Omaha. While with these firms, Mark was an intellectual property litigator with a national trial and appellate practice representing both defendants and plaintiffs. Mark acted as first-chair in numerous patent infringement cases ranging from fuel injectors to clothing designs. In addition to his IP practice, Mark represented clients such as Kiewit and HDR in complex commercial, business tort, licensing, construction, engineering, and professional liability litigation.
Mark earned his J.D. from the University of Nebraska in 1988, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board. He earned his B.S. from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 1985.
